London based Symphonic metallers PYTHIA will support DRAGONFORCE at their exclusive show at London’s 100 Club on February 16th in celebration of the Chinese Year Of The Dragon. Front goddess Emily Ovenden states:

'PYTHIA are thrilled to be invited by DragonForce to support them at their show at the 100 Club. Herman invited us personally and we're stoked to be playing with the true superstars of Metal. We intend to harness the Serpent's Goddess, do our duty and get the crowd nicely lubed-up before the 'Mighty Force' take the stage for the first time in the year of the Dragon.'

The performance comes ahead of their long awaited second album. ‘The Serpent’s Curse’, which will be released on 28th February 2012 on Golden Axe via Genepool/Universal in the UK.

Hail fellow Pythians! Fantastic news from the PYTHIA war room.... Ahead of their plans for a year-long sustained campaign throughout Europe and beyond, their partners-in-arms at the Rock Band Network will be releasing a second track from the forthcoming album on the 19th of January. The track, ‘Heartless’, is definitely the fastest offering the guys have given us to date, the more extreme metal elements from the bog old melting pot definitely showing through.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH966S-FpcU

Another piece fo good news is that our good friends, ‘The Mariana Hollow’, will be joining us at PYTHIA’s album launch on the 29th of February ahead of their up-coming album release. No doubt we’ll see more of that particular coupling out on the road!

PYTHIA are happy to announce the album launch show for their long awaited second album, ‘The Serpent’s Curse’. The launch will take place at The Borderline, Orange Yard, off Manette Street, W1D 4AR on 29th February 2012. All advance ticket holders will be entitled upon entry to collect a signed copy of the ‘Betray My Heart’ limited edition red vinyl 7”, from ‘The Serpent’s Curse’, with a full album playback from 7.30pm.

With the ‘Betray My Heart’ video tracking huge plays per day since launch and the album gaining stunning reviews from far and wide, those coming to the launch will be the first to witness the majority of the material live for the very first time... and possibly for the only time, in such an intimate live environment

'During the making of ‘The Serpent's Curse’ we encountered the highs and lows of human experience. From the darkness of death to the wonder of birth as a band we faced these colossal events united. This album sprung from our endeavors to understand the circle of life, the mighty force of nature and our fight for survival.'
